Jordan—Founder, Owner

Jordan (they/she) is a professional dog walker, dog trainer, and pet sitter. They have owned a dog walking/pet sitting business in Somerville, MA for the past 9 years, and have been working as a rewards based trainer for the past 5 years at the oldest AKC registered dog club in America, The New England Dog Training Club. They’re still running the business in Massachusetts from afar, but is excited to work with new dogs here in Decatur.

Jordan is passionate about positive reinforcement and consent in dog training. They have made a point to work with reactive dogs, and use a patient, understanding approach to working with each dog they meet. They’re also an aspiring herbalist, and enjoy mixing up herbal pet products and treats for their Big Fluffy Dog Rescue boys, Griffin and Digby.

Jordan loves sharing their knowledge about training and herbalism with anyone who is interested in learning more, so feel free to send them a message if you ever have any questions!

Nirvana, CPDT-KA—Trainer, Walker, Media Manager

Nirvana (she/her) is a lifelong lover of animals and student of behavior. At the beginning of her journey, she worked closely with various wildlife via an internship position with Mass Audubon Drumlin Farm’s rehabilitation and education team, and also spent time volunteering with shelter dogs at MSPCA-Angell. It was through these experiences that she found she was drawn to the hands-on approach of understanding animal behavior and wellness.

In 2014, she started dog walking as a therapeutic reprieve, and soon after began a mentorship at the New England Dog Training Club in Cambridge, MA. There she learned from some of the most respected trainers in her area, and was presented with a new passion in life. In 2018, she earned her professional certification through The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Since then, she has continued to supplement her training knowledge by attending continuing education seminars and conferences along the East Coast.

Throughout her dog training career, Nirvana has worked to make basic obedience skills approachable for new pet parents and experienced owners alike through private lessons and group classes. It is a dream of hers to make dog training accessible and available to folks of all different economic and social backgrounds, and to continue spreading the wonders of rewards based dog training. Currently, Nirvana enjoys dabbling in different dog sports with her sato, Sukie, including competition obedience, rally, freestyle, nosework, and barn hunt.
